Express Entry
What is Canada Express Entry Immigration?
Express Entry (EE) is not an immigration program in itself, it is actually an online system created to manage Canada’s immigration applications intake. Express Entry was launched on January 1, 2015, this immigration system is used to select and communicate with skilled and qualified applicants. This program is for skilled workers with foreign work experience who want to immigrate to Canada permanently. It allows people to submit a profile and be considered as a skilled worker immigrant. Candidates with the highest rankings are invited to apply for permanent residency (PR).
How Express Entry works?
Candidates submit a self-assessed profile online to the Express Entry Pool which is scored using a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). If you are highly ranked, you will be invited to apply for permanent residence as a skilled immigrant. Once you have applied, your PR application will then be processed within the next 6 months.
Points are scored based on core factors such as:
• skilled work experience
• language ability
• education
• age
• If you have a job offer in Canada
• Your spouse's education, language abilities and work experience.
Single or married status is different in this scoring system.
You can also get points for:
• Canadian degrees, diplomas or certificates
• a valid job offer
• a nomination from a province or territory
The maximum score for this system is 1,200. There is a minimum score for all applicants in order to be eligible to get invitation for permanent residency status. The top scoring candidates are issued Invitations to Apply for permanent residence via periodic immigration draws, usually every two weeks. After getting invitation, potential immigrant has 90 days in order to get, prepare and submit all required documents and pay application fees as well. In order get the reply from Canadian Government, person should wait until 6-12 month, depends on his express entry stream.
